Client of the Month: Nick

Nick matched his wife's awe-inspiring transformation at Ultimate Performance by losing 47lbs (21.5kg) in 11 weeks.

Thirty-seven-year-old Nick lived a super busy life running his own wealth management firm.

With a flourishing business and two children, he always thought it would be challenging to find the time to exercise, and his knee injuries just gave him an added reason to file fitness under the 'impossible' section.

However, when his equally busy wife and business partner, Corrie, underwent a stunning body transformation at U.P., it stripped away all his excuses.

He was inspired and motivated to follow suit and start a transformation journey of his own.

The results were nothing less than sensational.

"U.P.'s made a huge difference! Physically, I have gone down from a 46-inch suit size down to a 40. I have gone from a 36-38 waist down to a 30-32-inch waist. I have lost just under three and a half stone – 47lbs (21.5kg)."

Nick had suffered from injuries for years, and recently his doctor had recommended a knee replacement.

Faced with the prospect of an operation generally associated with older age at just 37, Nick knew he had to get fit and take some weight off his knees.

He trained for 35 sessions over three months and managed to bring down his weight from 215lbs to 168lbs (97.5kg to 76kg). He also lost 19% of body fat during this time.

A big part of the problem in the past had been his diet. Before joining U.P., it consisted mostly of unhealthy snacks.

"I'm a business owner. My wife and I own a business, and we are very busy, and with that comes stress and bad habits, choosing takeaways instead of cooking meals to save time, and drinking too much.

"My wake-up call came when I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in my right knee; I had a motorbike accident and snapped my quad tendon.

"The consultant a month before I started the transformation said to me if I were 50 years old, they would have replaced my knee at that point, but I'm 37, and I am too young for that.

"I have followed U.P. for about six years now, I followed Nick Mitchell and Ultimate Performance worldwide, I have always really fancied it."

THERE'S NO BETTER TIME TO START YOUR U.P. TRANSFORMATION THAN NOW.

His wife Corrie's amazing transformation at U.P. got him to finally sign up and carve out time from his packed schedule to invest in his health. He really wanted to improve his quality of life, especially with his children and wife, and obviously wanted to look great and enjoy the natural confidence that comes with it.

Nick trained three times a week at U.P.'s gym and did his own cardio in between. The husband-wife duo also trained together on Saturday mornings, completing a group strongman class at U.P., which consisted of high-intensity intervals and resistance training combined for 45 minutes.

"Collectively, we have lost six and a half stone between us (91lbs/41kg)! That is more weight than our children! We have a three-year-old and a five-year-old, and U.P.'s transformation gave us a new lease of life.

"Both of us have so much more energy. I can run with my children. I am fitter; it is just a better life completely. Also, I think the mental clarity you get with the quality of nutrition and training you receive here at U.P.; it just gives you a better life overall.

"Corrie's results were absolutely outstanding. I was so proud of her, and for her to overcome her injuries and to be able to train around her injuries was a huge motivation for me. For her to win Client of the Month was obviously a huge motivation for both her and me."

Nick followed a high-protein, moderate-fat, and low-carbohydrate diet to begin with and slowly reintroduced carbohydrates later into his transformation to fuel his intense workouts. The theory behind his diet was to eat natural 'whole' foods, which are either grown from the ground or swim, fly or run – nothing fancy, just a very simple approach to nutrition.

"I just wanted a six-pack, I have never had one. We had less than 12 weeks to do this transformation as I needed to finish before Christmas, my trainer Louis said 'we could do this in 11 weeks – I just need you to trust me'. And we have done it, and I am absolutely speechless."

"When we talk about return on investment, U.P. is expensive; there is no getting around it. But you get what you pay for – you really, really do."

"If there was a machine that you could step into on day one and have the feeling that I had at the end of 12 weeks and see yourself how you will look at 12 weeks, you would sign up, you would find the money, and you would just do it."

"I have trained with other trainers in the past, I can honestly say nothing compares to U.P. with the care and guidance I have been given, and the results I have achieved."

But Nick and Corrie aren't finished yet. They have set long-term health goals and have decided to continue training at U.P. for the foreseeable future.
