Our trainers

Hand-selected. Elite-trained. Accountable for results.

We don't hire ordinary personal trainers. We hand-select the best, develop them through 200+ hours of advanced learning every year, and hold them to the highest standards in the industry.

Every trainer is measured on one thing alone: the quality of outcome they deliver for you, and for every client they work with.

Rigorous recruitment

We don’t hire trainers. We handpick them.

Thousands apply. Fewer than 1 in 100 make the cut. The top 1%.

Every candidate goes through a six-stage recruitment process designed to test far more than technical skill. We look for trainers who are obsessed with results, thrive in a high-standards team environment, and take their clients’ progress personally.

When you work with a U.P. trainer, you’re not choosing from a marketplace where quality is impossible to judge. You’re being matched with one of the most rigorously selected coaching professionals in the industry.

Relentless education

Being selected is just the start

Most personal trainers complete a short qualification, and that’s where learning stops.
At Ultimate Performance, development is continuous and non-negotiable.

In their first year alone, every trainer completes over 200 hours of structured education.
Case studies. Assessments. Mentorship. Team training. Practical application.
All designed to embed the U.P. Method and the standards required to deliver consistently at the highest level.

This means you work with a trainer operating at the leading edge of the industry. And you’ll feel the difference.

Focus by design

Most trainers have 10 jobs. Yours has one.

We remove the distractions most personal trainers face.
No selling. No marketing. No chasing leads.

Your trainer’s singular focus is mastering their craft and delivering the best results possible for you. Our trainers are measured, rewarded, and promoted based purely on the quality of outcomes they produce.

What that means for you is simple. You get a coach whose full attention is exactly where it should be. On the details and decisions that drive your progress.

Accountability at every level

Standards never slip

Your trainer is responsible for your results. Behind them is a leadership structure that supports, challenges, and maintains the standards that make those results possible.

Trainers are measured on outcomes, not hours worked or sessions sold. Progress is tracked, performance is monitored, and if momentum slows, we step in.

This level of accountability doesn’t exist in any other personal training environment. It’s why 97% of U.P. clients achieve their goals, compared to 70% who fail with other methods.

Data + tech advantage

Expertise empowered by data

We equip your trainer with advanced data-tracking tools to remove guesswork from the process. Your progress across training, nutrition, recovery, and daily habits is tracked with precision.

But data alone doesn't drive results – it's how your trainer interprets and applies it to your life. If your sleep is disrupted, they notice. If your training plateaus, they adapt.

The result is clarity and confidence. You always know what's working, and why.

Frequently asked questions about U.P. trainers

Do U.P. trainers have qualifications?

Yes. Every U.P. trainer holds recognised personal training qualifications as a baseline. Many also have degree-level education, advanced coaching certifications, nutrition qualifications, and specialist training in areas such as injury management, pre- and post-natal training.

But qualifications alone are never enough. What matters is how knowledge is applied. All U.P. trainers go through rigorous internal recruitment process, then continuous education in the U.P. Method, supported by mentorship, assessment, and clear performance standards. This ensures your trainer isn’t just qualified on paper, but consistently operating at the level required to deliver exceptional results.

How do you match me with the right personal trainer?

We match you carefully and intentionally with your specific needs in mind. Your goals, training history, lifestyle, preferences, and any injuries or limitations are all considered. From there, we assign a trainer whose experience and strengths are best aligned to what you want to achieve. Finding the right personal trainer on your own can be difficult. We remove that guesswork entirely by making a considered match for you – so you get the right support, the right expertise, and the best possible chance of long-term success

What’s it like training with a U.P. trainer?

It’s structured, personal, and collaborative. Your trainer doesn’t just coach sessions and disappear. They take shared ownership of your progress and manage the full process for you – training, nutrition guidance, progress tracking, and ongoing adjustments – both inside and outside the gym.

They lead on decision-making alongside you, so you’re not left second-guessing what to do or why you’re doing it. They explain the plan, adapt it as your life and progress change, and hold you accountable to what you’ve agreed together. The relationship is professional and direct. Your trainer is honest, invested, and prepared to challenge you when needed, because consistent progress depends on clarity and follow-through. It’s less about supervision, and more about partnership – working together, with shared responsibility, toward a clearly defined outcome.

Can I train around an injury or medical condition?

Yes. Many clients train with us around injuries, medical conditions, or physical limitations. Your trainer will assess your history, movement, and any relevant medical considerations before building your program. Training is then adapted intelligently to work around limitations while still driving progress safely. Where appropriate, we also collaborate with medical professionals to ensure your training supports your health, not compromises it. We can discuss your specific needs and explain how we will tailor the U.P. Method to you at your complimentary consultation.

Is the process different at every gym?

No. The experience is consistent wherever you train. Every U.P. gym operates to the same standards, with the same methods and systems. Trainers are educated, supported, and assessed in the same way across all locations, ensuring the same level of coaching, accountability, and service for you as a client. The setting may change. The standard does not.
