You lose up to 8% of your muscle every decade after 30

This muscle loss only accelerates with age. Strength declines two to three times faster still. Strength and muscle mass predict how well you age and how long you live. The longer you wait to act, the harder it is to win back.

MUSCLE MASS RETAINED (%)

Healthy ageing isn’t a pill. It’s a method.

We’ve spent 17 years proving it.

It's a system, not a study. Training, nutrition, data and accountability - built around your goal, whether that's rebuilding strength in midlife, training through menopause, or managing GLP-1s. Here's how.

01. Strength & muscle

Resistance training is central to the U.P. Method, signalling your body to preserve muscle and build the strength that keeps you capable. Both are among the strongest predictors of healthspan and longevity.

02. Metabolic health

The U.P. Method rebuilds your body composition through precision training and nutrition - reducing visceral fat and blood pressure, and correcting the markers tied to heart disease, diabetes and dementia.

03. Longevity habits

Habits make results last. We change the behaviour underneath: how you eat, sleep and move. So preserving muscle, and protecting brain and hormonal health, becomes second nature.

The markers that shape how you age. Changed in 12 weeks.

These aren't projections. They're the results our clients see on average over the first 12 weeks with the U.P. Method.

+92.6% Strength ¹
Strength is one of the clearest predictors of how long and how well you live.
-8cm Waist ²
Waist size reduction - enough to move many clients from at-risk to healthy on a key metabolic-syndrome marker.
-6% Body Fat ³
Improved body composition - fat loss while maintaining muscle mass - keeps you metabolically healthy as you age.
-20.7 mmHg Blood Pressure ⁴
Double the reduction of systolic blood pressure that research links to meaningfully lower stroke, heart and dementia risk.
+20% VO₂ max ⁵
A high VO₂ max is one of the strongest predictors of longevity in science.

97% succeed. A real story behind every result.

The U.P. Method works - and not just the changes you can see. It's the ones you can't that can add years to your life, from blood pressure to muscle health. And they last: 91% of clients keep some or all of their results beyond six months.

How well you age tomorrow is built today

Every year you don’t act costs you more muscle and strength.

Your questions. Answered straight.

Isn't U.P. only about transformations and how I look?

It's where we started, and it's still what we're known for – impressive visual results. But what actually drives a transformation – building muscle, improving strength, metabolic health and fitness – are the same things that science shows determine how well you age. We've always trained the foundations of longevity. Now we have the granular data to show just how effective it is for measures of long-term health.

I already train. What's different here?

Most people who come to us already train – and have done for years. The difference isn't the effort you put in already, it's precision, accountability, and everything that happens around training – from sleep and stress management to nutrition. This is a program built on your data, coached rep by rep, adjusted continually, with someone making sure the things that drive results actually get done. The gap between training hard and training right is what determines results.

How much does it cost?

U.P. is a premium, fully personalised, one-to-one service, and it's priced accordingly. The exact investment depends on your goals and how often you train. We'll walk you through it honestly in your consultation so you can make the best decision for you.

How much time do I need to commit?

U.P. clients need as little as 2-3 hours of one-to-one training in the gym with their trainer, on average. The method is built to get more from less – the precision of each session is what lets it work in the time a busy life allows.

Do I need to be fit before I start?

No. We build the programme around exactly where you are today, whatever your current fitness or training history. The assessment on day one makes sure everything is pitched to you – nothing more than your body is ready for.

I'm over 50, and have old injuries. Is it too late, or too risky?

Neither. Strength training is one of the most valuable things you can do at any age, and it's never too late to start – many of our clients begin in their 50s and 60s. And it’s at this age that it can really benefit your health and longevity if you’ve never trained before. Every programme is built around your body, your history and any injuries, and coached to keep you safe.

What actually gets measured?

From day one we track the markers that matter – strength, body composition, and health measures relevant to your goals – and review them continually in the UP Transform app. You always know exactly how you’re progressing, what's changing, and why.

What happens after my program ends?

You will take with you the knowledge of how to maintain the results – that’s the point. You'll understand how to train, eat and adjust on your own, which is why most clients maintain their results long after finishing. Many stay with us because they want to accomplish even greater goals, they enjoy the accountability, and working with world-class trainers who continue to drive forward their progress.

Do I have to overhaul my diet completely?

No. Your nutrition is built around how you actually eat and live, then coached around real life – travel, dinners out, busy workweeks. The goal is to learn and adopt simple principles you can sustain for life.

Footnotes

  1. Strength: +92.6% Average increase across key compound lifts (measured across squat, bench press, deadlift and overhead press) over the first 12 weeks of training. Based on U.P. client training data, n = 19,720 clients.
  2. Body composition: −6% body fat   Average reduction in body-fat percentage with lean body mass broadly maintained (mean change −0.27kg LBM) over 12 weeks, measured by U.P.'s standard body-composition protocol. Based on U.P. client data, n = 7,086 clients. Skeletal muscle is the body's largest metabolic organ; preserving lean mass while reducing fat is an independent marker of metabolic health and longevity.
  3. Metabolic health: −8cm waist  Average reduction in waist circumference over 12 weeks. Based on U.P. client data, n = 7,086 clients. Waist circumference is a validated marker of visceral fat and metabolic-syndrome risk; a reduction of this size is sufficient to move many clients below the at-risk threshold on this marker.
  4. Blood pressure: −20.7 mmHg  Average reduction in systolic blood pressure among hypertensive clients over 12 weeks, recorded in a study conducted with the University of Cambridge and Addenbrooke's Hospital, n = 135. A 10 mmHg reduction in systolic blood pressure is associated with meaningfully lower risk of stroke, heart disease and, in midlife, dementia  Ettehad D, Emdin CA, Kiran A, et al. "Blood pressure lowering for prevention of cardiovascular disease and death: a systematic review and meta-analysis." The Lancet, 2016;387(10022):957–967. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/26724178/
  5. Cardiovascular fitness: +20% VO₂ max  Average improvement in VO₂ max (cardiorespiratory fitness) over 12 weeks, reflecting the conditioning component of the U.P. programme. Based on U.P. client data, n = 7,086 clients. VO₂ max is among the strongest established predictors of all-cause mortality. Mandsager K, Harb S, Cremer P, et al.
