Elizaveta’s transformation helped her quit smoking, get fit and restore her self-esteem

In the aftermath, she began binge eating and drinking as often as four times a week.

Elizaveta quickly fell out of love with her figure, admitting she avoided looking at her reflection in her bathroom mirror.

What was your motivation to start working with U.P.?

I came to U.P. because I had an unhealthy relationship with food and very low self-esteem.

I was in a headspace where I didn’t feel like I deserved to be happy, and I found it difficult to like myself. I knew it was time to change. If I walked into my bathroom or into a lift, I always avoided my reflection because I didn’t like what I saw.

What did your lifestyle look like before working with your personal trainer?

I drank a lot of alcohol and would always end up snacking. At one point, I was drinking at least four times a week.

I was constantly tracking my food, but a lack of willpower and discipline meant I would binge eat. Looking back, I realise it was my attitude and lack of self-respect – my yo-yo dieting and negative thoughts were unsustainable and unhealthy.

Tell us how you feel about yourself now?

Training with U.P. has helped me realise how much I can achieve and how strong I am as a person. I’m no longer stressed about things that have been going on in my life in the past six months.

I’m currently weighing around 55kg, which is a massive achievement. My body is now reflecting my inner strength, and gradually I’ve learnt to start appreciating what I see in the mirror.

My self-confidence and relationship with food have both improved, and I’ve even been able to stop smoking and deal with my stress better. I’ve been able to mentally reset and stay positive, which has been a huge change for me.

How important was your trainer in helping you achieve such incredible results?

The accountability of my trainer has helped me deal with a lot of things going on outside of the gym. I had a strong relationship with my trainer, who gave me so much support along the way, no matter how low I felt.

Whatever time of the day, I could give him a text. The walking and steps I needed to get in helped control my stress and gave me time to reflect. It got me outside and meant I didn’t stress-eat.

How rewarding was your photo shoot at the end of your transformation?

My photoshoot was the ultimate challenge, but I saw it as a big achievement. I could see the difference and I’ve got my body to where I want it to be.

I’ve learned to be happy with my figure and appreciate it a lot more. I was excited and nervous at the same time, but I was proud of my reflection in the mirror and was able to celebrate my achievements.
