Life and work took their toll on 54-year-old Robert – he felt unfit and unhealthy.

He flew internationally every week for work, he was dining out with clients often, and consistent exercise was lacking for his lifestyle.

When he was back in London, he cycled to work daily – but it did little to change his body.

The lockdown came, and Robert says he got lazy, which further compounded the problem.

Now, after 27 weeks, Robert has turned the clock back 30 years to feel young, fit and healthy again after losing 14kg (31lbs).

Before his transformation at U.P., Robert found losing weight and staying healthy tough.

It was a battle he felt he was losing on his own.

With daily work travel and a hectic schedule, he couldn’t get to where he wanted with his health and fitness.

“I was quite nervous before starting; I never had a personal trainer. My previous diet was horrible. Lots of pasta and sandwiches, and I never counted the calories.   

“I cycled daily to work when I was in London, but I had not worked out with weights for quite a long time.”

“I guess one of the most important things that happened through Covid and my training with U.P. was the availability of my trainer personally engaging with me daily online.   

“Without that encouragement and without that checking in, I wouldn’t be able to get that disciplined. And that just brings a big difference,   

“What I hear from other friends who are using personal trainers throughout Covid. You know, others might go to the park and try to do workouts there; I think the consistency of online training and follow-ups with my trainer personally made me have the results I got today.”  

Along with his trainer and his hard work, the results astonished not only him but also his children and friends.

“My physique is impressive, not just to me, but to my kids and the few friends I have shared my pictures with.   

“I now exercise 3 or 4 hours a day, including 10,000 steps. This does wonders for my mental health rather than more Netflix and Prime.  

“I have never been stronger in my life, including when I trained every day at university in the 80s when I was on the university rowing team up early every morning.”  

With a new-found positive attitude in life, Robert’s physical transformation has positively impacted other aspects of his life too.
