For as long as 52-year-old Kevin could remember, he was unfit, unhealthy, and unwell.
It was a constant struggle to find time and energy to work out regularly.
But as a staunch believer that you are never too old to change, he began a transformation journey with Ultimate Performance that helped him rewind the clock.
Not only did he lose 12kg (26lbs), but he feels younger, fitter, stronger and more mentally sharp than he has in years.
“You’re never too old to change! I was in my early 50’s, overweight and not just unfit but unhealthy.
“My 18-week program at U.P. changed all that. I lost 12kg (26lbs) and went from 25% body fat to 9.4%. I dropped 6 inches from my waistline and gone is my ‘dad-bod’.

Before he started at U.P., health was not his number one priority.
He was desk-bound or flying around the globe with work, so he thought he had little time to focus on himself or his well-being.
“I sit behind the desk for half my life and the other half I travel on aeroplanes. I was unfit, unwell and I wanted to get healthier.”

He was assigned a personal trainer to manage every aspect of his training, nutrition and transformation program.

“Our target was 10% body fat and at the time I was 25% and my trainer said to me ‘We’re going to get there’.
“At first, I didn’t believe him, but the coaching, the diet as well as the hard workouts helped me lose about 12kg (26lbs) in weight and we hit just under 9.6% body fat, which is amazing.”
To be able to turn back the clock and get six-pack abs at the age of 52 we a revelation for Kevin.
“My experience was transformational and I feel like I’m 25 years old again.
“My thoughts are clearer, I can focus better and I feel better, I look better. I haven’t felt like this for 25 years.
“There’s nothing to be scared of. Sticking to the diet is challenging but with good help from your trainer you can do it and if I can do it at 52 years of age, anybody can do it.”
But as well as achieving the exact physical outcomes they had targeted at the start, Kevin ticked off some impressive performance goals too and built up some lifelong healthy habits.

“My trainer incorporated that into my training and voila! After 18 hard weeks, I can now do my 10 wide-grip pull-ups. I’ve never been able to do a wide-grip pull-up since I was 18. That’s amazing for me.”
