Twice the results in half the time? Business owner Chris never would have believed this was possible before he came to Ultimate Performance.

The 39-year-old was stuck in a cycle of over-training – pushing himself to work out seven days a week to try and get in shape he wanted.

If he wasn’t lifting weights in the gym, he’d be out running to get some miles under his belt.

But the harder he pushed with this all-out approach, the further away from his goals he seemed…and his weight continued to yo-yo up and down.

Right away, his trainer got him training smarter. He reduced his training session down to just three per week – focusing was on quality not quantity of work in the gym.

After 19 weeks working alongside his trainer, he’s lost 14kg in to get into the best shape of his life.

What brought you to through the doors at Ultimate Performance?

I always allowed my weight to fluctuate, so I’d always be in and out of shape. When I arrived at U.P. it was one of the worst I’d ever looked.

I ate whatever I wanted to. I wasn’t necessarily eating the wrong things per se, you just don’t know how to prepare it properly. I was like everybody else in America – over-eating.


How do you feel about the results you’ve achieved in 19 weeks?

I’m closer to 40 than I’ve ever been and this is the best I’ve ever looked in my life. It’s also the strongest I’ve ever been in my life.

I’ve managed to hit some personal goals that I didn’t think would be possible.

How has your approach to health and fitness changed during your time at U.P.?

This was nuts. With this program it was the least amount of work I’ve ever put in. I didn’t have to run, I only worked out three times a week, I did it in half the time, and I still look crazy.

I’ve always been athletic, energetic, so, regardless of the weight, I always felt fine. I definitely feel stronger and now there are things in life that don’t feel like a chore. It just feels like life!

My nutrition has changed now. I gained a lot of knowledge at U.P. They taught me things I didn’t think were true or even possible, but my nutrition has done a 180.

How have your friends and family reacted to your transformation?

They say I look like I’ve been photoshopped! Others are asking if I’m going to become a personal trainer.

It’s funny to me because I used to work out seven days a week. I would run three miles on my off days and up to six when I was trying to do something.


What advice would you give to anybody wishing to start their own journey at U.P.?

You need to be dedicated for it to work. It takes discipline, I won’t lie. As soon as I made progress, I locked it in, and I’ve never experienced anything like that in my life. It’s rare.
