Ultimate Performance was founded in 2009 by Nick Mitchell, widely regarded as one of the world’s foremost personal trainers and body composition experts.
The business was born from Nick’s vision to create a place where people knew they could train and get the results they wanted, and not the ineffectual ‘fitness fluff’ that pervaded the U.K. personal training industry at that time.
Since then, Ultimate Performance has changed the face of the industry and rapidly expanded to become the world’s only truly global personal training business.

Ultimate Performance opens its ninth London gym in the prestigious Knightsbridge area, bringing elite personal training to another prime location in the city.
Ultimate Performance launches its second Canary Wharf gym in two years with the opening of the new Cabot Place facility.
Ultimate Performance expands its presence in Singapore with a state-of-the-art private gym in the Orchard district, marking 10 years since the launch of the successful Central Business District gym in 2014.
Our seventh London gym, Ultimate Performance Paddington brings results-focused personal training to a new area of the city.
Our sixth gym in London launches with our 5,000 ft² U.P. Chelsea facility on Fulham Road.
Our second gym in Washington DC launches with the 4,400 ft² DC Metro Center facility.
Ultimate Performance Wood Wharf, Canary Wharf becomes our fifth gym in London on the exclusive Wood Wharf development.
Our 16,000 ft² Bethesda gym opens its doors in the city’s historic post office building on Wisconsin Avenue.
Ultimate Performance Dubai Marina becomes the second gym in the city and continues our investment in the Middle East.
We launch a fourth gym in London – Ultimate Performance St Paul’s gym – which follows the success of our London City, Mayfair, and Kensington gyms in the capital.
We open our second Los Angeles gym on Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood two years after launching our successful flagship Brentwood facility.
Ultimate Performance brings world-class personal training to Merseyside with the launch of Ultimate Performance Liverpool gym – our fourth gym in the North of England.
We launch Ultimate Performance Washington D.C. Du Pont gym, which marks the opening of our second U.S. gym and further expansion into North America.
We open the doors on a brand new 3,000 ft² personal training gym in the city of Leeds.
Ultimate Performance Cheshire opens its doors on a new 2,500 ft² facility based in Alderley Edge, Cheshire – the company’s first gym outside a major metropolitan centre.
We open the first Ultimate Performance Los Angeles – a landmark gym in Brentwood and our first location in the USA – in a newly-built gym on Wilshire Boulevard in L.A., California.
An all-new 9,000 ft² premises doubles the size and capacity of Ultimate Performance Singapore, cementing the gym’s pre-eminence in the region.
Ultimate Performance London Kensington opens its doors to clients across Notting Hill, Kensington, Chelsea, Belgravia, Holland Park and Knightsbridge.
Ultimate Performance takes over Evolve Amsterdam in the Jordaan district, turning it into Ultimate Performance Amsterdam gym by introducing €250,000 of additional equipment and injecting the all-important Ultimate Performance culture of excellence.
Ultimate Performance Sydney gym takes over an existing fitness institute in Sydney CBD, breathing new life into the location by adding 2,000 m² to its footprint and building new changing rooms and shower rooms before replacing equipment across the board.
We open Ultimate Performance Dubai gym, a state-of-the-art personal training facility based in the Emirates Financial Tower in Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC).
We branch out our U.K. services into northern England as Ultimate Performance Manchester gym opens in a temporary space at Old Granada studios, with plans to relocate to the centre of Spinningfields soon after.
In April 2016, Ultimate Performance Manchester upgrades to a new 3,700 ft² location within the high-end XYZ Building in the city’s thriving Spinningfields quarter.
Ultimate Performance Singapore launches in our second Far Eastern location, with a 6,000 ft² personal training gym based in the Central Business District (CBD).
Our first gym outside of London, Ultimate Performance Hong Kong gym trains its first clients out of a 4,000 ft² personal training facility based in the heart of Hong Kong’s Central district.
Our second gym, Ultimate Performance London Mayfair opens near Park Lane in the central and exclusive Mayfair district.
Ultimate Performance London City gym, a 3,000 ft² personal training facility, opens in the heart of London’s financial district.
