Victoria’s transformation came post-pregnancy after realising she was no longer in love with her body. She may look like a heroin taken from a superhero comic but our Victoria is just like the rest of us when it comes to juggling a busy life and a healthy body. How did she do it? Here’s how.

Why Ultimate Performance?

I had a baby last summer and whilst I reverted to my pre-pregnancy weight very quickly, I found that I didn’t recognise my body any more. I’ve know I’m far from perfect but I’ve always loved my body and I didn’t feel that way anymore, so I wanted to do something about it.

My husband had been talking about signing up with UP to get over a plateau in gains. He has the Men’s Fitness 12 week body plan and his boss had previously trained with UP so he, and therefore I, was aware of the company. My husband couldn’t sign up straight away as he was receiving treatment for a shoulder injury, so I thought I could try it out first as a post baby present to myself.

I got in touch quickly after having my daughter but was advised to wait at least 4 months before starting to train. As I was breastfeeding I decided to wait longer until I stopped, in order to safely take any supplements which were recommended.

What Do You Feel That You Have Achieved?

I have had absolutely fantastic results so far in terms of fat loss and improved muscle tone and am really thrilled. I genuinely look like a different person in my 12 week comparison photos. However, in all honesty, I do not feel as though my results are my achievement at all. I was extremely lucky to be matched with Sean Murphy, a trainer with a very intelligent and detailed approach to my transformation. He was so precise and his instructions so clear I really didn’t have to do anything other than follow them. Sean made the whole process really easy for me. He is the epitome of professionalism but also a genuinely warm and friendly person. I felt immediately at ease with him and trusted him implicitly.

With a young baby, full time job and many other responsibilities I have to think and plan constantly from the time I get up in the morning until I go to bed at night. However, this was one area of my life where that stress was taken from me. I didn’t have to think at all, just do as Sean asked. Surprisingly, for a complete control freak like me, I was able to do this quite happily as I had no reservations about Sean’s ability to deliver what he promised given what I have seen  in terms of his results with previous clients.

What Have You Learned?

I have learned how guilty I have been lying to myself and making excuses in terms of my fitness goals. There has been no reason whatsoever that I couldn’t have always had my ideal body, other than laziness and lack of discipline. Yes, I have been taught some of the science behind the nutritional aspects of the programme and certainly I have been shown the correct form for training but a lot of it is common sense.

I have also learned that I love feeling the way I do right now. I really enjoy training and really like feeling this lean. I have also learned that it really isn’t as difficult as you might think to follow the right diet and fit in sufficient (and efficient) exercise to your days in order to have the body that you want. I really wish I’d come to UP ten years ago!

What’s Next For You?

More training with Sean! It’s only been 12 weeks and that is a very short timeframe. I have had amazing results but I’m not finished yet. I see this as a long term commitment and have an ultimate body goal which will most likely take some years to achieve. Plus, I’m enjoying training so much that I have no desire to stop.

What Would You Say to Others?

I have already been singing UP’s praises to anyone who will listen! I would recommend the company to anyone as worth every penny. The results are guaranteed as long as you stick with the programme and anyone is capable of doing it. I have no training background and a very busy life and I haven’t found it to be that difficult at all (although that has been down to my fantastic trainer who has done all of the hard work for me and just guided and encouraged me through the process).
