47-year-old Ranjay was horrified by the prospect of never training again after suffering multiple injuries.
A road traffic accident and a handful of sports-related injuries meant he was in no position to work out – both mentally and physically.
Time away from lifting weights resulted in Ranjay getting heavier, fast. But taking the first step and returning to the gym filled him with anxiety.

Here, Ranjay discusses how achieving results while away from the gym was achievable and the ways in which better health has strengthened his marriage.
What made your trainer so crucial to your transformation?
What helps is consistent feedback and the daily contact you receive from your trainer. Your trainer constantly monitors what food you eat, which kept me on track. U.P. is not like a traditional gym and trainer relationship, here I feel everyone is invested in my success.
Living and working in more than three countries was difficult. So, when we had to use Virtual Training, it worked fantastically. My trainer could still keep me on track and consistent so I could achieve all my goals. I really recommend it.
Talk to us about the impact of your results.
My results have been so good that my wife signed up because she thought she was missing out. It’s been great because we’re on similar programs, so it’s helped us become a better couple.
We’ve generally been spending more time with each other trying to stay active outdoors. Holistically, it has brought so many benefits to our marriage, family and health.
