Life in the past 10 years was miserable for Kari, but since discovering LiveUP, the sporty father-of-two’s life has forever changed – and he’s cruising into his 40s looking fitter than ever!
The decade leading up to LiveUP saw Kari recovering from a back injury he sustained from his days as a motorbike racer, all that while his diet and lifestyle took a backseat and slowly but surely the weight piled on.

Despite having only a kettlebell and a resistance band, Kari worked through Covid-19 lockdown and supercharged his fitness results at home by following the LiveUP Lockdown programme – thanks to which he lost a total of 13kg since the start of lockdown!
Even Kari himself can hardly believe the transformation.
“It’s like ‘Oh shit, it happened!’, it’s like you accomplished something but you don’t believe it.”
“Even when I was doing professional sports – I used to ski when I was young for 10-plus years, I rode a motorbike for 15 years – I never looked better. I look 20 times better now than when I was an athlete.”
Kari’s life before LiveUP was plagued by a plethora of illnesses: back pain, knee pain, irregular sleep pattern, panic attacks – you name it, and the stress that came with the coronavirus lockdown most definitely did not help.

“I used to be very nervous every time I picked up my phone, and seeing my work emails would just stress me out even more. Now I don’t get affected by it any more.”
Not only have Kari’s stress levels and sleep quality improved, fatigue is now a thing of the past too.
“I used to go to sleep and wake up tired, but now I can fall asleep just like switching off a MacBook. Then I wake up and I don’t feel tired, and I put on my clothes and I can get on with my day.
“I’m not stressed, I’m well-slept, and there’s no drag. It’s an amazing feeling.”

Kari never thought he would ever obtain this level of fitness success when he embarked on this journey.
“I was always making fun of those fitness videos of people dancing in front of a TV screen. I never did any of that; I always wanted to go to the gym, take the bag, lift heavy weights, go to the sauna later… all those things were very important to me. I never ever trained at home.”
“Suddenly I was put in a position where I didn’t have any choice. I was watching Elliott’s workout posts on Facebook and admiring people who could do it.”
Then Kari became one of the home fitness people he used to mock and, lo and behold, he was astounded by how quickly the transformation took place.
“How the shift happened so fast was really something new for me.”
