Google headhunter Gonzalo had hit a real low point – he was unhappy with his body, was struggling with low self-esteem and would eat comfort food to deal with stress and anxiety.
But he resolved to live a healthier and happier life that was his motivation for starting a transformation with U.P.
The results he achieved in a few short weeks were truly life-changing.
Not only did he lose 14kg and sculpt an incredible physique, but he changed every aspect of his lifestyle through learning and putting into practice the training and diet that were right for his body.

Gonzalo explains the simple but powerful changes he made to his diet, training and lifestyle that have helped him on his transformation journey.
I had a promise to myself that I didn’t want to break, which was getting in shape and having a healthier lifestyle.
I knew that the program was going to be good, as I had gone to see the facilities and saw how customised the training was, but I would have never imagined it would have had such an impact on my body and my life.
Before starting at U.P. I wasn’t happy with myself. I had very low self-esteem, felt constantly tired and would cure my anxiety and stress by eating unhealthy food.
Before starting my transformation with U.P. I used to eat very badly. I did not take into account the portions I was eating nor the ingredients or the way in which my meals were cooked.
My lifestyle was very sedentary. I used to wake up tired, commute to work by taxi, spend my day sitting down in the office and would spend the rest of the day sitting at home.
Once I started my transformation with U.P., my lifestyle and diet changed radically.
I have to say, it wasn’t easy at first, but now that I look back, it’s the best decision I ever made.
In terms of diet, I started eating well portioned healthy meals including greens, which I always disliked and I cut down on fast food and carbs.
Over time, not only did I stop craving junk food, but also started to enjoy my greens and clean food, having made it a habit in my daily life.
In terms of lifestyle, I have also changed radically. Now I walk to work, I make sure I accomplish at least 10,000 steps a day and make sure I do my cardio every other day when not training.
This is something that I would have never imagined myself enjoying.
Believe it or not, I also sleep much better and have a lot more energy than I used to.
This is directly correlated to the increase in my physical activity as well as a clean and healthy diet.
To give an example, I never used to be able to run or jog. Now I run for one hour on every cardio day, and not only do I not feel completely exhausted, but I have actually learnt to enjoy it.
Training with my trainer, Jayson, has been unbelievable. I cannot thank him enough for all he has done and for getting me to the point where I am today.
He kept in touch on daily basis, made sure I was eating correctly, custom made my training plan to fit my goals and he was able to adapt to late hours as well as modifying my schedule when travelling.
I have gone from 77.7kg to 63.4kg and to 11% body fat. I am now able to do push-ups, pull-ups (something I had never been able to) and even run for over an hour without getting exhausted.
Most importantly, I have learnt about the importance of eating healthily, as well as the importance of sleeping well and remaining active. I have also learnt that with hard work and dedication you can accomplish big results.
After all the effort, dedication and sacrifices this has taken me, I do not want to throw it all away by going back to my previous lifestyle.
From now on, I want to continue this journey, so I will always try to eat healthily and to not lose track of working out and keeping active. After this program I have learnt that no matter how busy your day can get, if you really want to, there is always time to remain active and not give yourself excuses.
