Client of the Month: David

Thirty-four-year-old product manager, David, was super-serious about fitness.

He was committed to achieving an impressive physique, but years of training only took him to a certain point.

He could see his goal, but somehow never reached it.

Finally, he decided he needed to put his body in the hands of the experts and commit to something more intense – Ultimate Performance Cheshire’s body transformation programme was the perfect fit.

David had a very specific goal – to get a lean, muscular physique – but his end-of-the-transformation photoshoot showed results that went far beyond his original goals.

He halved his body fat and lost 5kg to get the muscle definition and body shape he always wanted.


“How lean I am now and how defined I am now is just beyond my wildest dreams! I saw results within the first 3-4 weeks, and knowing that I had 8 more weeks to come after it only drove me further and further.”

Before coming to Ultimate Performance, David had already been training for a while at other gyms, but starting the U.P. programme and getting a bespoke diet and training programme really made the difference.

“Some of the big things that changed in coming to U.P. were the diet and understanding macronutrients and how carbs affected my body and energy levels – it was a brand new concept for me.

“In terms of training, the intensity went up. When you have got a trainer looking over you and pushing you, it gets that additional rep or set out.

“When you are training on your own, you probably leave or just don’t do it and you kind of think you are a failure. But when you have a professional telling you that you have another rep in you, it really motivates you to keep going.”


Mental, physical, and psychological – the U.P. training has positively impacted all areas of his life. Never a body-confident person, David is now slowly getting used to dealing with compliments.

“It’s great to see physical changes – to look good and to feel good. But it goes beyond that; it really does change your mindset; it gives you more confidence.

“Just walking around you get a few compliments, and it really is nice, and it just makes you feel an awful lot better.”

“Physically, I am stronger; I am fitter and healthier. I have progressed session by session, week by week. Even within the first few weeks I saw a physical change and that sparks so much in the mind; it gives you so much more focus and determination to achieve what you wanted.


“I have definitely seen a positive impact on the rest of my life outside the gym, in terms of how I have used this as a real focus, something that has really kept me occupied and driven for the last few months.”
