Arthur lost 10kg to build an incredible body for his wedding day with the LiveUP Beach Body Online Coaching programme.
He was close to 100kg in weight after overindulging at Christmas and New Year.
But with just four months until he was due to marry his fiancée, he knew he needed a focussed programme to get him back in shape.
Arthur wanted to look incredible for when he walked down the aisle and be able to look back on photos from the day with pride.
12 weeks is all it took to shed 10kg of fat and build an incredible physique his bride-to-be would go wild for.
“When I started, my weight was 98kg. Now I am 88kg. I lost 10kg in 12 weeks, which is amazing.
“The results which I’ve seen on my pictures – I can’t ask for more!
“When I saw my back images, I thought ‘wow! Is that me?!’ I didn’t know I had so many muscles in my back.
“I don’t want to stop now. I want to continue now.”
When you have a goal and a deadline to aim for like a wedding, you need no more motivation.
As soon as New Year was over, Arthur signed up to the LiveUP online after seeing the before and after results of other men on the plan.
“I saw amazing results that clients have achieved on LiveUP and I decided why not!
“I thought if other people could get great results doing online training, why couldn’t I?”
Eating and drinking over the festive period had really taken a toll.
Rich foods packed with sugar and fat had added weight to his frame.

He weighed in at 98kg and knew it was time to make a change.
“I wanted to look leaner and get stronger and recover after the Christmas and New Year. After having a good time off, I realised I had put on some weight. I wanted to get rid of that.
“But the main reason is I’m getting married in a few weeks!
“I wanted to make sure that when I get married I am in the best shape of my life.
“I want to look back on my wedding photos and see the best version of me.”

What attracted Arthur to the programme was the weekly check-ins, the accountability, the easy-to-follow diet and training plan, and the online community.
It helped him make the lifestyle changes he needed to get the body he wanted.
The one big change that made the biggest difference was Arthur’s nutrition.
He cleaned out his diet of the fatty foods, pizzas and takeaways and replaced it with lean meats, piles of green vegetables and healthy fats and carbs.
“The nutrition plan really puts you on the right path. You feel better and you get stronger.
“You know that feeling when you wake up in the morning and have had a really good sleep? You wake up full of strength and you’re ready to go – this is what you feel like everyday when you’re on this transformation.”
But Arthur wasn’t having to weigh every ounce of his food, track every calorie and cut everything out of his diet.
He says it actually fit seamlessly into his lifestyle.
Being on this transformation, it’s like a diet, but it’s not. It’s more like a lifestyle.
“The range of foods you can eat is so huge that you don’t feel like you’re on a diet.
You don’t have any cravings and you keep on living a comfortable life and enjoying your life fully.
“You can still go out with friends to eat and find an option that you can stick to and without feeling like you’re restricting yourself from something.”
Every month, Arthur got a fresh LiveUP training plan to follow to constantly challenge him, keep him progressing and getting leaner and stronger.
Arthur says he had the motivation to get the results he wanted.
“It’s online training. You train on your own. You set how hard it is. You obviously have to be self-motivated.
“There’s nobody standing behind you telling you how many reps you need to do.
“If you want good results, you have to follow the program and give 100%.
“You always have to push yourself to the limit.”
One of the areas Arthur wanted to focus on was his lower body.
“My issue is that I’ve got weak legs. But I’ve had to start training legs on the programme and now my legs are in the best shape they’ve been before.
“Generally I can see how my weight lifting has progressed, especially on things like the leg press and squats.”
Seeing results every week and looking at his body changing before his eyes kept him motivated.

“I started noticing results after just three weeks. I lost 3-4kg in the first couple of weeks.
“When you see your results in the mirror and you wake up and you can see your abs, this is what keeps you accountable.
“This is why you want to keep on going because you can see the changes.

It’s not just been about getting results. Arthur says he has gained an education about the training and diet that is best for his body.
He understands better how his body reacts and what he needs to do in the gym to keep building strength and muscle.

“When you’re training, you always learn something new.
“You see how your body changes and reacts to certain exercises or certain foods. It’s a constant learning curve.
“You can see your progress every week with your photos.”
The one unique thing about LiveUP is the support and advice from the online Facebook forum.
Arthur says it helped him immensely on his journey to getting in amazing shape.
“I got huge support from the LiveUP online community – the Facebook group is amazing.
“There are hundreds of people on there doing their own transformations at the same time as you that you can chat to.
If you’re struggling or you don’t know what to do, there’s always someone on there who can help you.
“You share your pictures, share your stories, and motivate each other.”
“It’s a great feeling to be doing this challenge along with other people. You feel like you’re with a team and you’re doing your transformation together.”
