Aerospace engineer Shafayet’s weight gain was out of control.

“When I actually look at the before and after picture, I can’t believe that it’s me. I can’t believe the fact that I was able to achieve it. I don’t recognise myself.

“I’m much happier. I’m much more confident. My self-esteem is high now too.

“Now, I’m more confident in talking to people and being around people. I am confident to put my voice across.”

Here Shafayet talks about his motivations for starting a transformation and how it has changed his mental and physical health for good.

Can you tell me why you decided to join Ultimate Performance?

I wasn’t happy with the way that I was looking. I was overweight. My tummy was sticking out. So, I wanted to make a change in my life, especially the way I looked.

I started searching for training companies, that’s when U.P. came up on my search. I went through the website and then looked at the reviews, and it looked quite promising. So, I decided to join.

Can you tell me about your lifestyle and diet before you started Ultimate Performance?

Before I started U.P., my lifestyle in terms of diet was pretty bad. I used to eat anything that I wanted to eat. I used to eat any time, like late at night. I used to have a lot of junk food. And that really affected how I actually looked and my health.

Self-esteem-wise, I wasn’t that comfortable. I wasn’t that confident in terms of taking my top off anywhere, on holidays, or even in any activities. So, yes, that lack of confidence was also one of the driving factors for me to join U.P.

What was your first day of training at Ultimate Performance?

The first day was great. When I found out that my body fat percentage was quite high, that’s when I knew that I had made a great decision to join U.P.

I was actually excited to get started, and to see a change.

 

Can you tell me what it’s like training, here?

I had an amazing experience with U.P. working with my trainer. It was fun. I enjoyed the sessions.

When you first saw your body fat at the beginning, did you believe that you could get a transformation?

When I saw my body fat percentage at the beginning, I didn’t think that I would be able to reach my goal. And I always thought, maybe it’s not real. When I started, I spoke to a few people, and it looked quite promising, but still, I did not think that I was going to be able to achieve the results I did.

 

Could you tell me about training here? What do you think is the secret ingredient of the transformations that you get here?

It’s the process that U.P. follows, the discipline, the way they monitor your progress, the goal and aims that they set you, daily goals, weekly goals, et cetera, that helped me follow the plan and stay on track. Of course, diet is one of the most important key focuses, and the advice from U.P. genuinely helped.

You recommended this to your friend. Can you tell us why?

When I started seeing progress, and I thought it was genuine, I thought ‘it is working. Okay, I should share my experience with other people, my friends and family, and help them get back in shape or make improvements to their health.’ So, I recommended one of my friends. I have spoken to my colleagues, and there are a lot of other people who are showing interest in joining U.P.

What’s your most favourite thing about your transformation now?

The most important thing that I have achieved from this program is that I have learned what to do, what not to do, what routine I should be following, what I should be eating, how I should be leading my life, maintaining my life, following the diet, et cetera, et cetera.

It is definitely value for money.

 

What would you say to someone who wants to join UP?
