Christina wanted to get fit again after giving birth to her second child.
She joined a gym and hired a personal trainer, but after five long months, nothing had changed for her.
Christina’s post-pregnancy weight had barely budged, and nearly half a year of hard training had done nothing to change her figure.
Frustrated at her lack of progress, 33-year-old Christina partnered with Ultimate Performance, who created a tailored diet and training program for her goals.
With an expert coach behind her inside and outside the gym, she learned what she needed to eat and how she needed to train to get results.
Seeing the weight come off and her body transform in a matter of months has been awe-inspiring for Christina. Now she’s 9kg lighter and has shaped the figure she wanted.
“I started with U.P. a couple of months ago, and it totally changed my life. Everything changed – my shape, my weight, my lifestyle. I’m super happy.
“I have tried many gyms and private trainers before, but U.P. is the only gym that seriously focuses on your results and helps you achieve it.
“I lost weight, and now I am learning to maintain it for life.”
Before starting her transformation, fighting her way back to fitness as a mother of two has been an uphill battle.
Working in a commercial gym with a conventional trainer just wasn’t cutting it for what she wanted to achieve. Progress was painfully slow, and she had little to show for all her efforts in the gym.
“I’m a mum of two little girls. My experience started after I delivered my second daughter. After the delivery, I joined the gym and worked with a personal trainer for five months.
“I followed the diet, but after five months, nothing changed. Well, there was a very small change in my weight. But I decided I needed a better solution; I needed someone really good.
“I did a lot of research on Google and Instagram, and I came across the Ultimate Performance page. I enquired, and we put together a plan toward my dream goal.”
Coming to Ultimate Performance was a completely different experience. Everything was tailored to her.
Her trainer took the time to understand her goals, her motivation and the exact look she wanted to achieve. This formed the foundation of her personalised training and diet program.
“When I started, I was 66.7kg. My trainer asked me what I was looking to change and what about my body I wasn’t happy with.
“For me, the main goal was to work on my tummy and my legs, especially after delivery.
“My trainer told me I could achieve these goals we had set if I followed the plan exactly. I had to keep up my steps and follow the diet.”
“I was shocked when I saw my progress pictures at eight weeks and twelve weeks – such a significant change in such a short period. This really amazed me.”
What has made the biggest difference is really getting to grips with her diet. Not just robotically following a plan, but learning the fundamentals of nutrition that she needs to stay in shape long after she has left U.P.
Having an expert on hand around the clock to guide her through the minefield of nutrition, and show her what works for her body, has been invaluable.
“It was the diet that I needed someone to help me with and to help me choose the food I should be eating. I used to think the only way to lose weight was to completely cut down on food and eat something like a protein bar.
“My trainer educated me to understand and learn what foods I should be consuming. We changed everything – what I ate for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Every meal, he advised me what I should be eating, which really helped me.
“It not only changed my body but also changed my whole lifestyle. I know more about food now, which is amazing.”
Christina says that it took a while to get used to her new routine. But the process has helped her set healthy new habits in stone.
“The hardest part of the transformation was the first month because everything changed. I had to increase my step count, and I had to stay away from many foods I once thought were healthy, but I now understand are not.
“I’m happy because everything was achievable. I’ve been educated on what I should eat, I don’t need to ask many questions about the diet now, I reach my steps, and everything is good.”
Learning the fundamentals of a healthy lifestyle has given her knowledge that she can pass on to her two young daughters too.
“This experience has helped me to be a better mother to my kids. I now know what foods are actually healthy for my kids because not everything advertised as healthy actually is.
“So, my experience with U.P. has not only changed my body, but it has transformed my whole lifestyle, my whole life.”
Thinking back to before she started, Christina says she was a little sceptical about whether the transformation results she saw on the website would be possible.
But over 12 weeks, simply following her trainer’s guidance, ticking off her daily goals, and giving it her all in the gym three hours per week got her the results she wanted.
“When I saw the ‘before and after’ pictures on the U.P. website, I questioned ‘can these amazing results really be achieved?’.
“It’s hard to believe because it is such a big change, but the answer is ‘yes, they can!”
Christina’s transformation happened like clockwork – exactly how it was set out in her plan on day one.
She puts it down to the attention to detail and the scientific approach of the personal training team at U.P.
“The trainers are the best because they track everything with you.
“It’s not only about what you do in the gym, but it’s also not like you have your sessions, and that’s the work done. The trainers keep track of everything.
“My trainer would ask me to send my meals, my weight, my step count. He’d follow everything.
“U.P. is the best.”
