Dorian didn’t do maximal load; he did maximal effort.
Your question remains valid however, and the answer is no.
His injuries, that he feels were caused by not backing off enough and always pushing for more progressive overload of weight, don’t disprove it, one man’s experience can’t prove anything. What I think they show though is exactly what he thinks – you can’t push the weight all out without breaking down.
Because Senna crashed and died does that disprove his driving abilities, or did Dorian Yates need to push it like that to beat the genetics of a Flex Wheeler…?
