How much does personal training cost?

The cost of a one-to-one personal training package varies depending on your location, the time of day you would like to train, session frequency, and your total package length.

As a result, each training package is designed bespoke for each client. However, we reward loyalty by offering a discount on large packages.

What does a typical training session with Ultimate Performance involve?

During your first session, your trainer will run through a 90-minute consultation, which involves a body composition assessment, followed by a gym-floor movement screening.

This provides vital information that your personal trainer will use to develop your unique training and nutrition plan. Once the program is underway, each session involves a brief review of your progress before getting stuck into a challenging training session that pushes you to the limits of your abilities.

We don’t waste your investment in us by watching you warm up on a treadmill or spending half of your session stretching. We make use of every single minute, focusing on targeted movements that leverage resistance training to provide unrivalled body composition results.

Why is personal training important?

Resistance training is a skill, and like any skill, it requires time, patience and the right knowledge to get it right. Each exercise has a unique skill component and, while you could theoretically learn without guidance, it’s far safer and more time-effective to learn how to perform each movement properly from the outset.

Research also shows that having a support network and a sense of accountability is critical for success in achieving health and fitness goals. A personal trainer provides the tools to do this, which simply cannot be matched when training alone.

Do I really need a personal trainer?

If you’re serious about making a long-term investment in your health and fitness, yes. An Ultimate Performance personal trainer isn’t just there to trade time on the gym floor for money; they take your results personally and leave no stone unturned to help you achieve them.

That is what makes an Ultimate Performance personal trainer indispensable if you’re committed to making significant, sustainable lifestyle changes. Just like you’d visit your lawyer if you needed legal advice, or an architect to build a house, a professional Ultimate Performance trainer is there to be a trusted advisor. Sometimes that may involve telling you what you need to hear, rather than what you would like to hear.

But rest assured that every trainer has the collective knowledge of a global team behind them to perform every exercise safely, effectively and to push you to achieve the result you want. Personal training with Ultimate Performance is not a quick-fix; it is a long-term commitment to your health and wellbeing that will provide you with knowledge for life.

How long does a personal training session last?

Personal training sessions vary between locations but, generally speaking, each session lasts between 45-60 minutes.

How many times a week should I train with my trainer?

How frequently you train completely depends on your lifestyle, budget and preferences. However, most of our clients train three to four times per week, allowing us to maximise progression with effective recovery.

Will I be advised on diet and supplements during my training?

Yes, your Personal Trainer will build you a bespoke nutrition and supplement plan that considers your lifestyle, goal, and preferences, designed to provide the maximum return on your investment. The three hours you spend with your trainer is only a small part of the story. The remaining 165 hours in the week are just as important, and your nutrition is a fundamental pillar of your results.

Your trainer will work with you to develop calorie and macronutrient goals specifically tailored to your body composition and goal. We place a high emphasis on the importance of high-quality, nutrient-dense foods, such as lean meats, lots of green fibrous vegetables and healthy fats, like nuts, avocado or olive oil. Not only does this approach maximise the health benefits of your transformation, but it also ensures you are satiated, energised and ready to take on any new challenges.

Your trainer will also provide ongoing support to make the personal training plan work for you. This may include problem-solving to help you plan for social events and travel, or using our meal prep partners, The Good Prep. While supplements should not form the basis of your diet, they are invaluable for plugging gaps in your nutrition, which may become more apparent during a fat-loss phase. The Ultimate Performance supplement range includes proven, reliable and high-quality products that provide a big return on investment.

We only make supplements that we know work, both from experience and from a scientific point of view. If something works anecdotally, we carry out a thorough scientific review and test it on ourselves before manufacturing it for use by our clients. This approach means that we sometimes miss out on sales of fad supplements, but we don’t sacrifice our principles to make a quick buck.  You won’t see any gimmicks or extreme claims and promises on our supplements. Only proven science.

We also have a huge advantage in that, unlike most supplement retailers, we have deep experience in the health and fitness industry from a non-medical point of view.  We see a lot of sub-clinical conditions, as well as having extensive experience with people who want to live optimally, not just normally or even worse, simply not deficient.  This enables us to see benefits that are above and beyond what is usually considered scientifically, as most studies are either far too narrowly performed on people with very specific conditions, or far too broadly, such as population studies that cannot effectively control for millions of other variables.

And probably most importantly, we care more about what goes into our supplements than we care about our margins. We use the best ingredients that we can source and refuse to substitute for a cheaper but inferior replacement.

How long will I need to train with a personal trainer?

While some clients choose to train for the duration of their initial goal, it’s not unusual for clients to continue training with Ultimate Performance as a long-term commitment to their health and fitness.

We are not a quick-results and high-client turnover business. Every client that chooses to make a long-term investment in Ultimate Performance does so because they see the value in the continued progression, accountability and ongoing support to maintain their results.
